Metal pins protrude from the rectangular arrangement base, onto which fresh cut flowers and dried flowers are stuck. Artificial fabric flowers and branches also fit into the spaces between the spikes, giving them a good grip to stand on. The small but solid metal kensan has enough weight to prevent the entire table setting from tipping over.
Not only traditional Japanese flower arrangements can be designed with the flower hedgehog. Put together particularly filigree wedding arrangements made of red roses, lilies or callas. Romantic decorative plugs in the shape of hearts or birds go well with this.
Experienced professionals place the hedgehog on a tray or in a bowl and fill it with water, pebbles or other natural materials. The Kenzan is therefore less noticeable, but holds the flower arrangement together all the better.
You can find other Kenzane in other sizes and shapes in our shop.
